POWYS COUNCIL
Powys Shared Prosperity Fund – Video Legacy Campaign
In partnership with Powys County Council’s Shared Prosperity Management Team, we were commissioned to create a comprehensive video campaign celebrating the impact of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) across the region.

The brief was to produce a suite of engaging short films that would serve as both a legacy record and a celebration of the community-led projects funded under the programme. Over the course of the project, we delivered 16 high-quality videos with both English and Welsh subtitles, tailored to capture the success stories across Powys.
The Project
Powys SPF supported around 120 community, environmental, business, and skills-based initiatives. Working closely with the Council and project leads, we created:
16 x 2-minute showcase films documenting projects across the SPF’s four priority areas in Welsh and English

Each video featured on-site filming across Powys, including interviews with beneficiaries, project leads, and delivery partners. These interviews were intercut with b-roll and project visuals to illustrate outcomes and tell human-centred success stories.
Our Approach
We designed the campaign with three key goals:
-
Capture Impact – Showcasing real-world results and community benefits from SPF-funded work.
-
Tell Authentic Stories – Through short interviews and voice-led visuals, we highlighted personal stories behind each project.
-
Celebrate Legacy – These videos not only documented achievements, but also aimed to inspire future initiatives and funding bids.

Our production process included:
-
Collaborative planning with Powys County Council to shortlist and schedule project visits.
-
Bilingual delivery: All videos included fully proofed English and Welsh subtitles.
-
Flexible filming: We adapted to remote locations, seasonal weather, and project availability, ensuring high-quality visuals in every context.
The Result
Delivered in phases between December and February, the videos are now used across Powys County Council’s digital platforms, events, and stakeholder reporting. They form a lasting visual archive of the programme’s reach and legacy.

By blending cinematic footage, compelling interviews, and a consistent narrative style, we helped position the Shared Prosperity Fund not just as a financial mechanism—but as a catalyst for meaningful, place-based change in communities across Powys.
