
SHROPSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST
Our recent collaboration with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shrewsbury Town Council highlighted the release of beavers—one of only a few urban releases in England. These beavers will play a key role in managing and restoring the wetland habitat across the 8.5-hectare site.
We were entrusted with creating a main feature film, which formed a central part of the project’s communications, helping to engage and inform supporters. In addition, we produced three short-form social media reels, designed to educate and keep the Trust’s followers up to date.
The Project
Our approach for the main film was to capture the quiet significance of a landmark urban rewilding moment—the release of beavers into a wetland site in Shrewsbury. Working in partnership with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shrewsbury Town Council, we created a two-minute feature that showcased the environmental ambition and ecological importance of the project. The visuals highlighted the beavers’ role in restoring and managing the 8.5-hectare site, combining natural beauty with purposeful storytelling.
But the project extended beyond the main film. In a series of shorter, editorial-style social reels, we focused on engaging the wider public and raising awareness across digital platforms. These bite-sized pieces were crafted to inform, educate, and inspire followers of the Trust, offering glimpses into the process and significance of one of England’s few urban beaver releases.
The Result
From initial concept through to final edit, we approached each stage of production with care and precision. Every frame was thoughtfully composed to reflect the significance of this pioneering rewilding initiative. Our team’s expertise in cinematography, editing, and narrative structure ensured the films captured both the ecological importance and emotional impact of the beaver release.
This collaboration was more than just a commission—it was a shared journey with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shrewsbury Town Council to tell a story of restoration, innovation, and hope. Through compelling visuals and clear storytelling, we helped bring the project’s vision to life and communicated its value to both dedicated supporters and wider audiences.
